International Concept for Education

Our philosophy

A dual language school

ICE is a multilingual international school with instruction in two languages (French and English) and the teaching of Arabic. Its students choose between two separate language streams, a French stream and an English stream. The school aims at language excellence. It seeks accreditation by both the French Ministry of Education and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) in Geneva. The school offers a dual language program: the French system and the IB system in English. In each stream, more time is given to the students in the major language (French or English).

As an international school, ICE applies the IB programs and objectives from the early years to the Middle Years and Grade 10. In Grades 11 and 12, however, the content of the French Baccalauréat and of the IB Diploma are heavily prescribed and therefore separate syllabuses will operate in those years. By the time they reach Grade 10, the students will have a good enough level to choose between the two final exam programs.
